I have only known and been coached by Heather for a year now, but I can confidently say that in this time my development has been far superior to any previous season, this is all thanks to the masses of help and support I have received from Heather. This time last year I would say I felt out of place amongst the other keepers at my Talent Academy in terms of technical ability. I’ve know Heather since I was eight, she helped me start out my goalkeeping career. I first met Heather when I was 12. I then went on to play along side Heather for a season when I was 15 at Western Wildcats. During this time training alongside Heather was so crucial to my development as she helped me to develop my technique and over all playing style. The past two summers I have attended a hockey camp in The Netherlands where Heather has been a coach. This further helped my development not only in hockey but in life. Heather is someone I have the upmost respect for, she’s an amazing coach mentor and friend and all round a wonderful person to be around. I am now part of the Scotland u16 squad and it’s safe to say I would be nowhere near where I am today if it wasn’t for Heather.
